Mens
Quiet weekend at Stratford with only a small field playing a medal comp on Saturday. Henry Morton came out on top with a net 69. This Saturday (29th Oct) is the Five Star Liquor tournament with tee time from 10.30. Enter name on sheet in the club house or check in with starter on Saturday and you will be fitted into a four.
The Open Hamper entries are rolling in, so get your team in for the popular 3 person ambrose format by entering on the sheet in the clubhouse or calling Tony Cawley or Henry Morton. Rules for the day are on the website.
A medal round was played on Saturday 15th October with the course playing hard to beat.
Best net was H. Morton with 69 followed by C. Downs, D. Banham and N. Aldridge on net 70.
Ladies
On Tuesday 18 October 2016 the Ladies played Mixed foursomes and had a lot of fun. Veronica Hignett and Jennifer Patterson had a 2. The 9 holers played LGU and Putting. Best Putts was Cindy Luond with 16. NextTuesday 1 November 2016 is Melbourne Cup day. A 9 hole competition for all members and a shared lunch to follow. Starters Flo Coburn and Miro Elliott.
Twilight
Twilight started on Wednesday night with a small group playing in good conditions for the opening night.
Juniors
Free junior coaching has also started on Wednesday nights at 3,30. So get those kids practising because the Tag Oil tournament for schools is scheduled for the 25 Nov. TAG will play in the morning, the students will play a 6 hole ambrose in the afternoon.
Team Hope Tournament
TEAM HOPE are running an ambrose tournament on Friday November 11. Team hope are a dedicated group set up to provide support to people living in the Stratford area who are suffering from some sort of adversity. The golf side of the day is a three person ambrose.
Mike Sandle, the Black Caps Manager will be guest speaker and their will be an auction for various items
