Xmas is getting closer and that means hamper time. Our Xmas hamper on the 3rd is fulling fast with 7 visiting teams due from Halcombe. So if you haven't got your team in contact Tony or Henry asap.
Mens Report
The Stratford club champions played well in the Taranaki champion of champions at Eltham on Saturday 19th with Tony Cawley and Graham Kelly finishing second in their divisions and Brad Gibbons was 3rd in his division. Their combined score was not quite good enough, but they finished a creditable 3rd in the teams event.
This Saturday the show day stableford will be played, and there will be 20 ladies from Levin visiting.
Saturday 3rd December is the open hamper and all players are asked to check in at 10.20 for an 11.00 start.
AGM update
The AGM has again come and gone. Welcome to the committee Scott Campbell and Graham Christie replacing Warren Cleland and Pauline Downs.
A couple of small changes to the constitution have been made.
Advertising of general meetings
Has been changed to:-
“a notice inserted by way of advertising in the public notice column in one issue of a daily newspaper circulating in the province of Taranaki being published at least 7 days prior to the date fixed for the meeting. Further advertising of the event shall be through numerous other types of media”
Aligning sub payment dues dates.
Rule 20 has been aligned with the subs due date of 28 February, thus creating a definitive time frame for membership. Unpaid members (unless on installment that has been approved by the commitee) will be removed from the membership database immediately after 28 February.
Rule 20 has become….
20. No member shall be eligible for any competition after the 28th of February in any year unless the Annual Subscription and any other moneys due from that member have been paid. The acceptance of an entrance fee for a competition by an officer or servant of the Club is subject to the provision of Rule 20.
2017 membership rates have been set and can be found on the membership page. Invoices for these will be heading out in December and with the change in the constitution will be now be due in January. Anything later than 28th February, unless organised with the committee will be removed from Dot Golf.

Although numbers were down slightly on last year. A good number of players enjoyed a fine day of golf. Winners in the divisions were:

Twilight
With the weather looking good, a field of 38 took to the course on Wednesday night for twilight. Over all winner was M Dodunski with 24 points.
Juniors
The juniors have been enjoying receiving coaching from Professional John Garner with the improved weather. John will be back again this Wednesday.
