Well guess it won't come as a shock to anyone but yes it once again rained on Saturday but we had a few hearty souls take to the course.
Of big interest was the Under Dog Final with the pairing of Grant Kite and Michael Taylor taking on the veteran duo of Warren Dymond and Matt McDonald, was a heck of a match going down to the wire with Macca and Dinky sealing the deal on the 18th. The Top Dog final will take place this weekend.
Captain Trophy scores are attached, they show the two round scores with best score showing first, this week is the final round with the worst score dropping off if you have played two rounds which certainly puts Mike Brown in the box seat to take this one out but a few lads who performed well in the first round can still pull it out so it's all to play for this week or though dear I say it, looks like more rain for the weekend.
Last Saturday we sent a team to the Champion of Champions, due to my senior and junior champs bailing on the week of the comp I was lucky enough to have Tom Fergusson and Mark Midgely join forces with Mark Burling to put in a good showing at the Waverly golf course so thanks guys for stepping up.
Twilight has been going gangbusters this year and tomorrow looks like another fine Wednesday night so come along if you haven't already, its open to all member or not.
December 2nd is our Open 2 person Ambrose Christmas Hamper, I already have 110 entries so if you haven't entered I suggest you do so ASAP and remember the change in the program a week later is no longer the closed hamper with most of us are heading to Hawera to support their Hamper so I have added there flyer so you can book a 4, also good luck to the 4 fours going to support Eltham this Sunday.
The Closed Hamper is now the 16th of December where we will also hold prize giving for all the trophy winners, there will be a lucky draw for $100 at prize giving so be a good day to be there and celebrate the winners.
Good Golfing
