After a bit of stop start due to weather I can now introduce you to all but one of our Match Play champions with the Senior title between Jordan and Jamie Anderson being decided this Saturday.
Grant Kite triumphed over Brad Gibbons in a great battle to win 2up after 36 holes, some great scoring by both and worthy of a final, the Junior final was not quite as close with the steady rise of Jade Wheeler with his dropping handicap to strong for Chris Drummond winning 6&5.
On the Sunday Daniel Gibbons one of our newest members showed he too is on the improve and was too good for Chris Bint in the Roy Wills Final winning 6&4.
This Saturday is Kelly Cup and also has FedEx points up for grabs, this comp is off the red tees and is nett, not as easy as you would think as all competitors lose a bunch of shots, you would have had a txt so if you wish to enter let me know as there will be a draw.
Kicking off on the 8th of June is Graham Cup over 3 consecutive weeks with the best two rounds deciding the winner, format is 2-man Ambrose and is one of our most popular competitions.
Some of you will know that I won't be in the country from the 6th of June till the 17th so to help Brad I would like to get all the entries in by the 6th so I can have the comp all set up and ready to go, there won't be a draw at this stage so it will be a rock up with your partner and Brad will make the fours on the day..
